Awana Ministry
AWANA exists solely to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. Its focal point, and belief, is that the greatest impact for Christ begins with children. The threefold functions of AWANA are to reach kids, equip leaders, and ultimately change the world!

From September through May, Lifegate's AWANA program begins each Wednesday night at 6:30 pm and runs until 7:30 pm. We have some of the finest volunteers operating this ministry. There are weekly opportunities for your children to be involved in this hands-on, fun program, as well as regularly scheduled activities to keep clubbers connected to one another, as well as engaged & encouraged by our leaders!
Awana Format
The clubs are divided by age groups and each take part in three "times" each night: Large Group Time, Handbook Time, and Game Time.
During Large Group Time, clubbers learn about the Bible through devotionals, missionary stories, and object lessons. This time is engaging and impactive.
Handbook Time is a time for clubbers to practice and recite Scripture verses memorized during the previous week, planting the seeds of Scripture in children's minds and hearts. As an added incentive, clubbers receive awards for reaching milestones in their handbooks during the year.
Game Time engages clubbers in enjoyable AWANA games and contributes to the overall excitement of the night. Game leaders encourage clubbers to have a spirit of teamwork and have fun! Our volunteers work hard to be earnestly involved in the lives of these young children during both Bible times and fun times.
At the end of the night, we pray that the lessons have captivated the hearts and minds of the clubbers, that they are motivated to study Scripture and better understand It, and that they had a great time.
Cubbies are for children from 3 - 4 years old.
Sparks are our K-5 through 2nd Graders.
T&T are for children Grades 3-6
